Ea in Education
In the Hawaiian language, Ea signifies sovereignty, rule, and independence. ʻEwa Moku EAducation is our commitment to a place-based educational system deeply rooted in the Hawaiian language, moʻolelo (stories), and cultural practices native to the ʻEwa Moku (land district). Here, ʻāina (land and natural resources) serves as our kumu (teacher), our textbook, and our classroom.

Honoring Kaʻahupāhau's Legacy
This traditional ʻōlelo noʻeau honors the shark goddess Kaʻahupāhau and her steadfast vigilance in protecting the people of Puʻuloa from harm. The ʻEwa Moku EAducation movement emulates the ʻano (nature and character) of our ʻakuawahine—standing guard to protect our keiki’s right to a first-class Hawaiian Immersion Education directly within our own community.
